Notes on being president.

Welcome: Approximately five minutes into the start of the meeting begin by welcoming everyone to the meeting.  If guests are present welcome them in a general way (I would like to welcome our guest to our weekly business networking meeting.  Please relax and we will have the member who invited you give you a proper introduction after our members give their 60 second presentation) Introduce this weeks Flag Salute leader.

Flag Salute: Each week you should assign the role of leading the chapter in the Pledge of Allegiance.  As president you can assign this role however you see fit.  Our suggestion is to use the speaker rotation and have the member who will be speaking the following week lead us in the flag salute

Introduction of the Leadership team: At this time, you should as the leadership team to remain standing and state their name and position on the team.

Introduce this week’s presenter of the purpose and overview.

Purpose and Overview: Each week you should assign the role of reminding the chapter as well as informing the guest of the purpose and overview of B2BNG.  As president you can assign this role however you see fit.  Our suggestion is to use the speaker rotation and have the member who spoke the last week.  You can find examples of the purpose and overview here.

60 second presentations: Introduce our timekeeper and let everyone know that at 50sec the timekeeper will raise their hand at 1 minute they will stand. As president you can assign this role however you see fit. Our suggestion is to use the member who went the longest the week before this week.  In regard to the members 60 second presentations it is recommended to keep things light and fun.  Most weeks it should be the responsibility of the member to deliver their 60 seconds as they see fit, however about once a month you should try to change this up.  A list of ideas can be found here.

Leadership reports: At this time you will have members of the leadership give their reports.  Start with the Vice Presidents report. Introduce the VP and have them present their report. This report includes Closed Business totals, total 1 to 1s and total leads passed.

Thank them then welcome the Secretary Treasurer and ask them to present their report. This report includes renewing members and speaker rotation.

Welcome our Education Coordinator.  Our Education Coordinator will give a 2 to 3 minute educational talk then introduce this weeks’ speaker.

Our speaker will present up to a 15-minute talk about their business.

Select one of the members to start the thank you’s for the close of business, referrals & testimonials part of the meeting.

Have the speaker draw from the slips a winner of the weekly door prize.

Ask the members if there are any upcoming events the members should know about.

If there is any new business to be talked about now is when you should present it.

Remind member to invite 1 guest next week.

Introduce our member giving this week’s motivational quote.

Closing Motivational Quote: Each week you should assign the role of sharing a motivational quote with the chapter.  As president you can assign this role however you see fit.  Our suggestion is to use the speaker rotation and have the member who spoke the two weeks prior. You can find a list of motivational quotes here.

Thank everyone for making the commitment each week and invite them to stick around and set up a 1 to 1 with another member. If there are guest, thank them again for making the time to join us today and if they have any questions to feel free to ask.
